On Saturday, May 15, 2021, the Lord whispered to Willie Louis Coleman to come to his eternal resting place. Mr. Coleman was born on January 17, 1941, in Shelby County, TN, to the late Jason and Sadie (Malone) Coleman. He graduated from Barretts Chapel High School in 1959. In 2005, he retired from Yellow Freight with over 3,000,000 miles driven on the road. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and had a love for cars. Mr. Coleman is survived by his wife, Dovie Coleman of Burns, TN; two sons, Willie (Barbara) Ward of Lawton, OK, and Jason M. Coleman of Dickson, TN; two daughters, Karen Coleman (Michael) Smiley of Memphis, TN and Janice Benson of Milwaukee, WI; brother, Maurice Coleman of Memphis, TN; four sisters, Mary, Viola, Cliffie Lee, and Vanessa Evans; fifteen grandchildren, Kobe Ward, Keanya Boyd, Laquesha Quinn, Bianca Quinn, Xaviera Coleman, Marquelyn Webb, Antwain Coleman, LeDarius Coleman, Joe Merchison, Jason Coleman, Jr., Tomekia Benson, Anthony Lofton, Jr., Reba Bearden, Janet Jacobs, and Latrice Jacobs; and thirty-two great-grandchldren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Coleman. Visitation will be Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Westwood Baptist Church, 6100 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN, 37209, at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Westwood Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m., with Dr. Robert and Rev. Nick Lindell officiating; following the funeral service a procession will follow to Union Cemetery, 200 E. Ray St., Dickson, TN 37055, for Interment.
