Mary Lu Swift

Mary Lu Swift, age 88, of Dickson, TN, passed away February 21, 2021 at her residence. Mary Lu was born February 18, 1933 in Birmingham, AL, to the late Clifton V. Goodlett and Lora Mae Mooney. She is the retired and Sr. Vice President & Secretary of First Federal Savings Bank of Dickson, TN; past president of the Review Club of Dickson; Chaplain of the United Daughters of Confederacy: The Old Hickory Chapter; Chaplain of the Gideon Carr Daughters of American Revolution; member of the Ladies Literary Club and a member of the Friendship Club; former member of the Civitan Club, and a member of the American Legion Auxillary; as well as a licensed insurance agent. She is survived by a brother, Clifton O. Goodlett of Old Hickory, TN; a niece, Vivian S. (Allen) Caldwell of Nashville, TN; and by special friends and care givers, LuAnn Greer and Donna Stock. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marshall T. Swift; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Goodlett. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Dickson Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Dickson Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m., with Bro. Ed White officiating; with a Burial to follow in the Mausoleum in Union Cemetery.
