Margie Bruce Hamilton of Dickson, TN
A loving wife, mother, and granny passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018, at NHC Healthcare Facility in Dickson, TN at age 89.
She was born in Dickson County, TN on January 24, 1929, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Charlie E., and Bonnie (Frazier) Bruce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Ted Hamilton; granddaughter Kristin Hamilton; as well as her sister Billie Chester.
Margie is survived by her daughters Jan Lane of Dickson, TN, Joy Burns (Benji) of Nashville, TN, and Jill Spann (Charles) of Dickson, TN; brother Charles E. Bruce, Jr. of Dickson, TN; sisters Mary Lee Mackie of Nashville, TN, Jane Mott of Dickson, TN, Betsy Flick of Nashville, TN; Tommie Vest of Decatur, AL, and Frances Unruh (Bill) of Brownsville, IN; grandchildren Kayce Harrison (John), Jeremy Lane (Stephanie), Jacob Lane (Emily), Drew Burns (Callie), Dylan Stinson (Jill), and Connor Spann; as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
She worked with the Dickson County Board of Education for 24 years, as well as being a homemaker.
Margie was also a long time member of the First Methodist Church.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, from 4 – 8 PM at Dickson Funeral Home; it will continue on Wednesday, August 01, 2018 from 10 AM – until the time of services at the First Methodist Church – 215 N. Main St. – Dickson, TN 37055.
Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, August 01, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the First Methodist Church with Rev. Stephen Lee officiating.
The gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Lane, Drew Burns, Jacob Lane, Dylan Stinson, Connor Spann, and John Harrison.
