Joseph William Burgess

Mr. Joseph William "Dick" Burgess, age 95, of Dickson, TN passed away on October 4, 2020 Dick was born in Humphreys County on March 20, 1925 to the late John Henry Burgess and Annie Mae (Glynn) Burgess He is survived by his son Mike Burgess (Brenda) of Dickson, TN; daughter, Debbie Burgess Hagler (Randy) of Dickson, TN; grandchildren, Michael Burgess (Stephanie), Ashley Burgess Estes (Justin), Jessica Hagler, Jacklyn Hagler McQueen (Nigel), Jared Hagler (Amy); great- grandchildren, Allie Estes, Sophia Burgess, Jake Estes, and Rhett McQueen. In addition to his parents Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Florence (Lamastus) Burgess; brothers, Leo Burgess, Johnny Burgess, Paul Burgess, and June Bug Burgess and sister, Mary Wynn. Visitation with the family will be at Dickson Funeral home on Wednesday, October 7th from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and again on Thursday, October 8th from 10:00am until the time of service. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral home on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 2:00pm with Mr. Jared Hagler officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
