David Jefferson Daugherty

David Jefferson Daugherty, 74 years of age, of Lyles, TN, passed away July 19, 2023, at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN.

David was born January 13, 1949, in Franklin, TN, to the late Henry Oliver and Lena (Lampley) Daugherty.

David loved to fish. He retired from Metro Nashville Government after working over 30 years. He is also a Veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by many brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Barbara Ann Daugherty; children, Lisa Ann Daugherty, James Wayne Daugherty, and Mindy Daugherty Walker; grandchildren, J.C Conner, Candace Conner, Emily Anne Marie Ellis, and Henry Wyatt (Bethany) Briglio; great-granddaughter, Ava Marie Briglio; and sister, Sue Daugherty Smith.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the Fairview Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Mt Zion Baptist Church, 7625 Union Valley Rd, Fairview, TN 37062, at 12:00 p.m., with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the church. Bro. Tommy Hudgins will be officiating. Interment will be at the Mt Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
