Calvin Lee Guthrie, age 73, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center in Ft. Walton Beach, Fl. Mr. Guthrie was born March 27, 1946 to the late William C. Guthrie and Voicie (Felts) Fisher in Dickson County, TN. Mr. Guthrie served in the Army during the years of 1967-1979. He was a Vietnam War Veteran Ground Medic for one tour from 1967-1968. “DUSTOFF” #236 from 1971-1972. He was awarded Air Medal with numeral 12, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Silver Service Star and 2 Bronze Service Stars, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Unit Citation. Good Conduct Medal (Feb 1, 1970), Aircraft Crewman Badge and Combat Medic Badge. He also received the National Defense Service Medal, 4 Overseas Bars, Vietnam Service Medal with 6 Campaign Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ 60 Device.  He was a lifetime member of the VFW, DAV, and a member of the American Legion.  He was Post Commander of 4008 in Belton, Texas for 4 years.  He was “Driver of the Year” in 1994 at Paul Arpin Van Lines. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Guthrie of Crestview, FL; two daughters, Tabatha Michelle Lambert of Lynnville, TN, and Erin Marie (Jeremy) Guthrie of Valparaiso, FL; a special son, Drew Heym; one brother, Stephen Douglas Manning of Hollywood, CA; five sisters, Cathy (Frank) Ray of Erin, TN, Sharon Burnett (James Bear) of Sylvia, TN, Brenda (Larry) Haines of Navarre, FL, Cynthia Guthrie of Sylvia, TN, and Laurie Skinner of Dickson, TN; five grandchildren, Glenn Wayne (Jamie) Lambert Jr., Cody Lee (Rachel) Lambert, Hunter Lee Heym, Aiden Hercules Fisher Heym, and AdaLee Elizabeth Heym; seven great-grandchildren, Rayna, Bristal, Glenn III, Crew, Lanna, Jayce, and Lillianna; numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly; and faithful companion “Dusty.” In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by five brothers, Tommy E. Guthrie, Harry L. Guthrie, Donnie R. Guthrie, Jerry L.Guthrie, and Michael B. Guthrie; one sister, Voicie Willean Guthrie; two sister- in- laws, Bernice and Teresa Guthrie; one brother-in-law, Roger Burnett; one son-in-law, Glen Wayne Lambert; one grandson, Christopher Michael Lambert; two nieces, Calista and Angie; and a nephew, Greg. Visitation will be Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Dickson Funeral Home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, and will resume on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 11:00am until time of service. Funeral service will be Sunday, October 27, 2019 from the Chapel of  Dickson Funeral Home at 2:00pm with Bro. Don Gibbs officiating.  Burial to follow at Sherwood Cemetery.
