Bryant Montgomery Raines

Bryant Raines, Jr., age 90 passed away on Thursday, February 8th, 2018 at The Meadows in Nashville, TN.  He was born in Cheatham County, TN on September 2nd, 1927 to the late Bryant Raines, Sr. and Velma Fulghum Raines.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife of 32 years and mother of his children, Betty Irene Raines; second wife of 29 years, Sadie Dean Raines; sons Bryant Milton and Gary Wayne Raines; granddaughter Tonya York;  sister Mildred Bradt; and brothers Kenneth, Harry, Warner and Emmett Raines. He is survived by his son Randal Raines (Cindy) of Pegram; daughter Debbie Irene Spencer (John Wayne “Buster”) of Pegram; sister Linda Hornal (Tom) of Waynesboro, TN; and grandchildren Jerry, Deandrea, Misty, Cayce, J.R., Melissa, Amy, John Wayne, Randy Lee, Tina and Kimmie.  He is also survived by several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 12th at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home.  Interment to follow at Young Cemetery in Craggie Hope.  Visitation with the family will begin on Saturday, February 10th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at Dickson Funeral Home.
