Florence Turner Burgess

Florence Turner Burgess “Granny” age 80, passed away on Sunday, January 14th, 2018 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN.  She was born on September 11th, 1937 in Dickson County, TN to the late Arthur and Callie Edwards Lamastus.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers Dully B., Weaver, J.C. and Eugene Lamastus; and sisters Betty Ruth Parchment, Margie Tidwell, and Doris Byrum. She is survived by her husband, Joseph W. Burgess of Dickson; one son, Mike Burgess (Brenda); daughter Debbie Hagler (Randy) all of Dickson; grandchildren Michael Burgess,  Ashley Estes (Justin), Jessica Hagler, Jacklyn McQueen (Nigel) and Jared Hagler (Amy); three great-grandchildren, Allie Estes, Sophie Burgess, and Jake Estes;  brother Basil Lamastus of Dickson; and sisters Geneva Waynick and Nadine Byrum of Dickson.. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 17th at 2:00 p.m. at Union Cemetery with her grandson Jared Hagler officiating.
