Era Odell Alderidge

Era Odell Foriest-Heath Alderidge, age 89 passed away on Saturday, September 30th at NHC in Dickson, TN.  She was born on December 23rd, 1927 to the late William M. and Annie Putnam Foriest.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Acie Alderidge; brothers Wallace, Edward “Buck”, Woodrow and Jessie Foriest; and sister Lorell Heath. She is survived by one son; Michael Steve Heath (Mildred) of Fairview; three daughters; Barbara Ann Emerson (Steve) of Jackson, TN; Patricia Gail Story (David) of Ashland City, Patsy Marie Gilmore (Mike) of Vanleer; three step-children; Faye Harris (Larry) of White Bluff, Kay Parker (Roger) of Kingston Springs, and Michael Ledford of Dickson.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and granddaughters by choice, Shelby and Ana. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 4th from the White Bluff Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Aaron Johnson and Ron Foriest officiating.  Interment to follow at Williams Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will begin on Tuesday, October 2nd from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy (www.fightdmd.com) or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home, 209 East College Street, Dickson, TN  37055.  Phone 615-446-2313.  Online condolences may be left by going to www.dicksonfuneralhome.com.
