Bennie Sharpe Graves

Bennie Sharpe Graves, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017 at her residence in Waverly, TN.  She was born in Hermitage, TN on September 11th, 1922 to the late Ben Howell and Emma Thompson Sharpe.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her five brothers, Johnny, Howell, Murray, Glen and Hollie Sharpe;  and three sisters, Mamie Johnson, Louise Ricketts, and Debow Sharpe. She is survived by her son, Clifford “Pot” Donnell Graves, Jr. (Judy) of Waverly, TN; daughter Barbara Graves Hughes (Joe) of Fairview, TN; four grandchildren, Jeff Hughes, Jan Mayberry, Trey and Chad Graves; and four great-grandchildren, Ansley, Bailey, Ketron, and Benjamin Graves.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the Fairview Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Brother Fred Mayberry officiating.  Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens in Old Hickory, TN.  Visitation with the family will begin on Thursday, May 18th, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Five Points Church of Christ.
