Walter Edsel Why

Walter Edsel Why,  age 90 of Nunnelly, TN. passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 at his residence. He was born on January 15th, 1926 in Detroit,MI to the late Walter Axton and Effa Jane Boyle Why.  He served his country in in the United States Army from 1944-1946 and was a veteran of World War II.  He is survived by the mother of his children, Birdie Virginia Why of Eastpointe, MI; two sons, Mark Why (Susan) of Nunnelly, TN, Walter Timothy Whye of Eastpointe, MI, and step-son Ronald Harry Why - Pokorski of Eastpointe, MI; daughter Debra Jane Bell (Marvin) of New Haven, MI; twelve grandchildren, Christine, Charlene, Noah, Ethan, J.D. , Moses, Reuben, Rashard, Jamael, Sergio, Tiara, and Cicily; as well as 11 great grandchildren.A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home & Cremation Center - 209 E.
