David Michael Western

David Michael Western; of White Bluff, TN; Age 18; Passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Vanderbilt Medical Center; Nashville, TN. David was born in Montgomery County, TN on Friday, March 27, 1998 to Mr. and Mrs. William & Stephanie Western of White Bluff, TN. He recently graduated from Creekwood High School. David had a love for sports, which was evident throughout his life. He began playing pee-wee football at an early age and even picked up playing little league baseball for 7 years. As David got older he played Jr. pro basketball as well as 4 years of football at Creekwood , as a defensive end and guard on offense, as #72. However: sports were not his only passion, he had a love for music, specifically classic rock, just as for sports, David also was a piano student at Creekwood for 2 years. One thing most people knew about David was that he had two favorite football teams. While he couldn’t move to New York City to support the Giants he was able to move to Knoxville, or as he referred to it like most UT fans do “Good ‘Ole Rocky Top”, to support his favorite college team. But the University of Tennessee wasn’t just about sports to David. He was on track to achieve a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. David was a natural, at most things, including math, which led to his degree choice, which was proven by competing for 3 years in a math competition at Austin Peay State University. In addition to his parents he is also survived by his grandparents Jerry & Frances Western of White Bluff, TN; as well as his brother Anthony “Tony” Western of White Bluff, TN. David was preceded in death by his grandparents David Michael & Kathy Jane Smith; great grandparents Patsy Evans & Bill Weatherly; as well as W.D. Western & Madgie Beal. Visitation for David will be on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 4 – 9 PM and again on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 11:00 AM – until time of service at the White Bluff Church of Christ. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 beginning at 1:00 PM at the White Bluff Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery in White Bluff, TN.
