Brownie Mai Roberts

Ms. Brownie Mai Roberts; of Ashland City, TN; Age 82; Passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Alive Hospice Care Center in Nashville, TN surrounded by her loving family.   Ms. Roberts was born on Wednesday, January 17, 1934 in Giles County, TN to the late Mr. & Mrs. Allen Gray & Annie Mai (Darnell) Gilliam. Later in life Ms. Roberts went on to work at State Industries where she retired from in 1992. She was also a long time member at the Crossroad Church of God of Prophecy in White Bluff, TN.   Ms. Brownie Roberts is survived by her son Tommy Ray Roberts (Peggy) of Ashland City, TN; grandchildren Kristy Greer (Rusty), Tracie McCord (Marc), Rachel Gipson (William). And Teresa Christy (Mike); sister-in-Law Robbie Gilliam of Knoxville, TN; sister Judy Potantus (Jerry) of Kingston Springs, TN; six great grandchildren Courtney Woodard (Robert), Brittany Sawyers. Austin Greer. Andrew Warden. Haley Gipson, and Kensley Gipson; three great great grandchildren Adam Sawyers, Landon Sawyers, and Trinity Herman; two step grandchildren Tiffany Golden, and Daniel Golden; three step great great grandchildren Allison, Ashley, and Spencer Dennis   She was preceded in death by her parents Allen Gray & Annie Mai (Darnell) Gilliam; husband Doyle Ray Roberts; daughter Betty Ann Johnson; as well as her brother Allen Monroe Gilliam.   The visitation for Ms. Roberts is Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 11:00 AM – until time of service at the Crossroad Church of God of Prophecy in White Bluff, TN. Her funeral service will be on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 beginning at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of the Crossroad Church of God of Prophecy.
