Walter King Street, retired  Chief Master Sergeant U.S.A.F. of Dickson, Tn.; Age 88 passed away on May 31, 2016 at Centennial Medical Center, Nashville, Tn.  Mr. Street is survived by his son Billy Wayne Street (Janet) of Ft. Mill, S.C.;  Daughters Darlene Kay Rowe (Roger) Sarasota, Fl., and Terrie Ann Carlton (Bob) Old Hickory, Tn. Mr. Street also leaves his grandchildren: Jason Street (Leslie),  Jennifer Gardner (Clay),  Steve Rowe,  Michael Rowe (Jessica),  Lauren Sisco (Bristol),  Levi Carlton and three Great Grandchildren: Troy, Mason, and Tristan                He was preceded in death  by parents: Leslie and Mammie Donegan Street, also his wife: Jeannette T. (Manley) Street and six brothers: Ben Street, Dave Herbert Street, Jim Hoover Street, L.W. Street, Brice Street, Willard Street.Sister: Ida S. Gentry and an two infant babies.  Mr. Walter K. Street, Air Force CMSG-E9 served his country 26 years and 2 days: 8/29/47 - 8/31/73. He was an aircraft maintenance superintendent and inspector. June 1973 the Meritorious Service Medal was awarded to Walter for outstanding noncombat service. He also was awarded the Bronze Star Medal while serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing armed force during the period July 1970 - July 1971.  Mr. Street was a member of Eno Methodist Church and continued being active in Eno Community Center until his health began to decline. He made it a point to visit and help those in need. He was a devoted husband, having lost his wife Jeanette in death 6/8/1998, and a dedicated father to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation for Mr. Walter King Street will be Friday June 3, 2016  from 4:30-8:00 pm and again on Saturday June 4, 2016 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Dickson Funeral Home, Officiated by Rev. Doug O. Rear.  Funeral Service – Will be Saturday June 4, 2016 at 3:00 pm from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery  Arrangements in the care Dickson Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left at www.dicksonfuneralhome.com
