Chris Mayberry

Owner/Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

Chris is a graduate of Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, ALwhere he received an associate’s degree in funeral service education.  He also graduated from Union University in Jackson, TN with a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and business management.  In addition to being a dually licensed funeral director and embalmer, Chris is a registered nurse and Emergency Medical Technician, a graduate of Tennessee State University in Nashville and University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Chris is no stranger to the area and Dickson Funeral Home, originally from Hickman County, he moved to Dickson with his family in 1985.  He is a 1987 graduate of Dickson County High School.  He worked at Dickson Funeral Home from 1986 until 1998.  He has also served the community working as a Registered Nurse and Emergency Medical Technician for Horizon Medical Center and Dickson County E.M.S.

A native of Dickson, Lois Sanders has worked in the funeral business for over twenty years. She and her husband, Dan, have two children and two grandchildren. They operate a 200-year family farm where they raise beef cattle and hay. She is a licensed funeral director and insurance agent.

A native of Alabama, Chad McGill has worked in the funeral business for sixteen years, the last six in Dickson. He is a graduate of the Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, Georgia and licensed in the states of Tennessee and Alabama.

Chad is currently pursuing a nursing degree with Motlow State Community College while continuing to work at Dickson Funeral Home.

A native of Dickson, Donnie Spann retired from the Dickson County School System after 31+ years as teacher, principal, and bus driver. He and his wife, Carolyn, have two daughters. He has worked for over four years at Dickson Funeral Home and is licensed as a Funeral Director in the state of Tennessee.

Donnie is a deacon for the West Dickson Church of Christ and a TSSAA football official.

Jimmy is an elder at the McEwen Church of Christ.

Linda Hayes

Linda Hayes is the current Mayor of the Town of White Bluff. She is in her second year on the staff of Dickson Funeral Home. She and her husband, Kenneth, have three children and two grandchildren.  Linda works on a part-time basis as a non-licensed funeral attendant at the Dickson, White Bluff, and Fairview Chapels.

Alan Desmond

Alan Desmond, a native of New York, has called Dickson County his home since 1969.  Alan served 8 1/2 years in the Navy, he was in law enforcement and was a local business owner.  He is married to Retia (Moore) of Dickson, and they have two children and three grandchildren.  Alan works as a non-licensed funeral assistant at the Dickson, White Bluff, and Fairview Chapels.
